Sneaky

Will tried to pull a fast one on me today.  I'm not sure when this boy got so smart but Eric and I are going to have to watch out when he gets older.  This morning before daycare, Will asked if he could bring his super hero cape to daycare.

See exhibit A  - "The cape"

I told him that he couldn't bring the cape to school since it was not something that he could easily share with his friends and I figured it would just cause more problems for the poor teachers.  Will asked a second time and I said no so he dropped it after that.  I was surpirsed that he dropped it so easily since usually he will continue asking until I finally cave in.

About 10 minutes later, we go upstairs to brush our teeth and Will was wearing his hat as shown in Exhibit B below.

Exhibit B - "The hat"

As we were brushing their teeth, Will asked if he could wear his hat to school.  I said of course he could wear the hat, not really thinking much about it and thought he probably just wanted to show his teachers.  So we continued brushing and about minute or so later I randomly put my hand on Will's head.  Weird...the hat was strangely very firm when usually you touch it and it crushes down.

He stopped brushing and we both looked at each other knowing exactly what he had done.  See Exhibit C below.

Exhibit C - "The hideaway plan"
The little stinker had neatly folded up the cape and stuffed it into his hat.  This was the real reason he wanted to wear the hat to school.  His immediate response was "Mommy, I don't want to talk about it!"  I couldn't help but just laugh out loud.  That boy has a serious poker face.  He didn't even bat an eyelash when he asked me if he could wear the hat to school.

So the question is should I have been mad because he was trying to be sneaky, or proud that he was smart enough to think of a plan like that??   hahaha..either way I had a really good laugh about it and it still makes me laught whenever I think about it and the look on his face when I caught him.

First Beach Trip of the Summer

These pictures were from Memorial day when we spent the weekend down at the Cape.  The weather was beautiful so we got to enjoy a nice beach weekend.  Fortunately the boys love the beach and have a blast playing in the water and hunting for fish and any other kind of sea life.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
 My handsome guys

Here's the beach at low tide.  The water literally goes out for at least a mile if not more.  If you are looking to take a swim, you've got a long walk ahead of you.

Stash-tastic!

I don't know what it is about mustache's lately but I am obsessed with them.  I really don't know why and I admit that it is a little weird but there is just something cool about the stash.   Apparently I'm not the only one that things the mustache is cool because it is all over the place and seems to be the in thing right now.  There are so many mustache themed things you can buy...mugs, shirts, hats, even mustache cookie cutters.  In honor of my mustache addiction I made some stash themed cookies and made the boys try them out.  Don't they look cute?

Daddy

Happy Father's Day Daddy!  We love you!

Will's 4th Birthday Party

I was a little late in planning Will's birthday party this year.  I couldn't decide what to do, therefore, I procrastinated about it.  I wanted something at the house but didn't want 20 kids running around inside since it is too cold to be outside in March.  So we waited a month and had his party in April when we would hopefully have nicer weather.  The weather worked out in our favor and it was a beautiful day.  Awesome Robb the magician came and entertained the kids for a good 45 minutes.   He was great and saved the best for last by making a live rabbit appear out of his hat.  Will still talks about his party and is already planning his party for next year (including the gifts he wants to get!).

Here are a few pictures from the magic show.....

No More Tonsils

Will had gigantic tonsils. Huge. Superduper big.  When you looked in his throat all you could see where his big tonsils staring back at you taking up most of the space in his throat.  And then there were his adenoids which were also taking up more than their fair share of space in there. So almost two weeks ago now we said 'farewell' to those body parts. Who needs them anyways?

Will did amazingly well after the surgery and is now fully recovered.  Day 2 after surgery he was running laps around the house and the only drug he was on was Tylenol.

Here's a few pictures pre-surgery.  His cars kept him pretty occupied while we waited to go in.  He told all the nurses about his brother and his sister "Sara" whenever they asked.

And here are a few post surgery.  Looking pretty good, huh?  He immediately wanted to eat after surgery and had 3 apple sauces and 2 jellos.
