No Luck with Santa

Well we tried it again this year but Will still wanted nothing to do with Santa. We went to Edaville Railroad to see the Christmas festival of lights and take a ride on the Christmas train. There was a Santa there so of course I wanted to get pictures with him. At first I was hoping I would get the two boys together on Santa's lap. That plan changed very quickly as soon as we tried to put Will in Santa's lap.

Does he look terrified or what in this picture?

He wouldn't even take the candy cane from Santa. He just wanted to get away from him as quick as possible.

Next it was Jack's turn. He obviously didn't have a problem sitting on Santa's lap. Of course he was asleep the entire time with binky in mouth.

Maybe next year I'll get my nice picture of the two boys in Santa's lap? Here are a few other random pictures from Edaville. Getting Will to look at the camera these days is impossible!

Random Pictures

I have a bunch of random pictures of Will from the past few months that I never had a chance to post. I thought some of them were really cute so I didn't want to leave them out. Enjoy!

One Month

It's hard to believe a month has come and gone already since Jack was born. The days seem like a big blur and I'm not sure where the time has gone or what we have been doing during that time. When I think about what I have do during the days, it feels like I really don't accomplish much (except to get dressed) but somehow I manage to fill the entire day. It took a couple weeks to get adjusted to having two but now that we are getting into the swing of things, we are having a lot of fun with the boys.

Jack doesn't do much at this point beside eat (a ton), sleep and poop (way to many times). The first three weeks we didn't see his eyes open very often but he is starting to be more awake during the day. He had his one month doctor appointment on Tuesday and the doctor confirmed that he is happy, healthy and growing. At one month, Jack weighs 11 lbs (86th percentile), is 23 inches long (94th percentile) and his head is 15 inches around (73rd percentile). He is a pretty good sleeper and usually goes to bed for the night at 10pm and then is up at 2 am and then again at 5 or 6am. While I miss sleeping through the night, I can't complain because it could be worse. Jack is a little more demanding than Will was when it comes to being held. Will used to enjoy sitting in his bouncy seat and was happy. Jack on the other hand likes to be held and is fussy until he gets his way. However, we probably held Will a lot more than I am remembering because we weren't chasing after another little one around the house. I think that is everything for now. Here are some pictures of our sleepy head...

A rare photo with his eyes open!

Here is big brother Will helping Jack with his tummy time. However, I'm not sure how much of a help he is when he is laying on his back. :-)

Dress Up

Will's new thing is to dress up in Eric's clothes. He particularly likes Eric's hats and shoes. The other day we left him in the living room for a few minutes and come back to find him walking around in Eric's shoes.

Then the other day I caught him trying on my shoes. I couldn't resist getting a video of him. I'm impressed at how well he was able to walk in them and I swear he picked up the bag on his own. Someday he will probably hate me for posting this. :-)

Big Brother

We have been home for almost three weeks now and everyone is adjusting nicely to having a new baby in the house. Even Will is enjoying having Jack here with us and has adjusted better than I thought he would. In one word I would say that Will is obsessed with Jack...he won't leave him alone! I'm not complaining because I am so happy that he loves his brother but he constantly wants to touch or see him. He is a very big helper especially when I am changing Jacks diaper. Will gets me the diapers and the wipes then throws the dirty diaper in the trash. If Jack is crying, Will always come running saying "baby, baby" to make sure we know to get him. Will is still pretty gentle with him but occasionally he gets overly excited and Jack gets bumped in the face or head. Yesterday Jack was on the floor while I was changing his diaper and Will stepped on his face! Luckily I stopped Will before he could really hurt Jack but we always have to have our eyes on him!! Her are some pictures of Will and Jack at home.

We were trying to get Will dressed for daycare. He refused to get dressed until we let him hold Jack on the couch. He sat here for about 15 minutes watching tv and holding Jack. Every time I tried to pick Jack up, Will held onto him and wouldn't let me take him.

Helping me get Jack ready to go out.

Will loves to touch Jack's face and hands. He always points to and says "eye".
