3 Months!

Month 3 has been a good month for Jack. They say a baby settles into a routine around this time and this definitely was the case for Jack. I'll admit, we were a little concerned during the first two months about what was in store for us given his "witching hour" habits and restlessness during the days. However, we hit month three and Jack has become much more content and happy during the days and night which has allowed us to see his cute little personality and enjoy his adorable sweetness. We moved Jack to his crib this month and for the most part he is a pretty good sleeper. He actually started sleeping through the night but then decided that just wasn't for him. Now he goes to sleep around 9:30pm and wakes up once at night (usually at 3am) and then sleeps until about 8:00M or until his big brother just can't go another minute without waking him up. We have been working on Jack taking naps in his crib but he only lasts for about 15 minutes before waking up. However, he sleeps like a champ in his carseat and can take a 2-3 hour nap.

Jack has the cutest little giggle when we tickle him and always has big smiles whenever we talk to him. He loves to play on his playmat and is getting really good at grabbing and holding onto all the toys. He is very close to rolling over from his back to front. He is also getting very strong and can hold his head up completely on his own and enjoys sitting in his bumbo seat so he can see everything that is going on. If we are holding Jack facing over our shoulder, he fusses until we turn him around so that he is facing out to see what's going on in front of him. He is becoming such a happy and sweet baby and we have really enjoyed this past month with him. Here are some pictures from the month.....

So big!

Does Jack look like me?

Will loves laying in our bed with Jack. He climbs into the bed and then pats the pillow until I put Jack down next to him. He isn't happy until both him and Jack are completely covered under the blankets.

Head Strong

Jack has been working on his tummy time and is proud to show off his new skills! He will actually lay on his tummy holding his head up for a few minutes at a time without crying. He is such a happy baby and loves to have all the attention on him. We've been having so much fun with him this past month. So far he is not minding the camera in his face all the time which is good....not that he has much of a choice anyways. :-) Here are some pictures of Jack showing off his skills. Sorry..there is a lot of the same pictures but he was just so darn cute I couldn't decide. I could eat him up!

Are you done taking pictures yet mommy because....

I'm tired!

Go BC!

Looks like we might have a future BC graduate on our hands. Jack's already sporting the maroon and gold.

Sunday Morning

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than playing with the boys. Notice Jack sitting up in his bumbo seat. He is so strong at only 2 1/2 months.

Poor Jack had no idea what was going on behind him...

Now Will wanted a turn in the seat....

I love the weekends....

Let's Play Outside

The groundhog saw his shadow so we still have 6 weeks of winter left..yuck. However, we were able to take advantage of a somewhat mild day last week and bundle ourselves up to go outside for a little. We didn't last too long but it was definitely nice to get some fresh air.

Play time for Jack

Its amazing how quickly Jack is growing. While most of his day primarily consists of eating or sleeping, he is definitely becoming more active. He really enjoys his play mat and will play happily on it for 10 or 15 minutes. He gets so excited when he bats one of his toys or looks at himself in the mirror. However Jacks time enjoying his toys is usually limited before Mr. Will comes over to see what is going on. Will has to crawl onto the mat also (which usually topples it over) and lay with Jack. At some point, poor Jack usually gets an elbow to the head which quickly ends the nice play time. But while it lasts it is fun watching his eyes light up as he plays. Here are a few pics of Jack playing...

Here's Will giving Jack a snack to refuel after some serious playtime.
