3 Weeks and Counting....

I've been meaning to do this post for a couple of months now and here we are only 3 weeks away from Baby D's arrival.  September 17th is going to be here before we know and I can't wait!!  While I am excited for baby to arrive, I would be lying if I didn't say that some of it has to do with the fact that it has been a LONG and HOT summer.  Seriously I don't remember having a summer this hot in a while and it has been torture.  On top of my body temp already being 15 degrees warmer than normal, this heat and humidity has been killer.  Fortunately it seems like cooler weather is starting to set in a little in anticipation of the fall which has been a little bit of a relief in the last few weeks.

We've got most stuff ready for the baby.  The nursery is all set and I'm in love with all the pink.  I'm lacking a little in the clothing department but I've got a whole week off before baby arrival and I plan to do some serious shopping.

The boys are excited and are always asking how the baby is doing.  I only hope they stay as excited once she arrives which I think they will.  Jack told me today that he is going to help put her pajamas on but wasn't interested in helping to change any diapers.  I think that boy needs some payback seeing what we are going through right now with potty training (more to come on that at a later date).

For some reason I'm feeling like this baby is going to come a little earlier than the 17th.  Not sure if it's because I really feel that way or because I just want her to come early so I can no longer be pregnant.  But either way, the next three weeks will go by fast and then Eric and I truly become out numbered.  Oh dear.....I hadn't actually thought about that until now. :-)

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to us!  It's hard to believe we just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.   It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for the big day and now here we are 7 years later with 2 kids and one more only 3 weeks away.

So how did we celebrate our 7th anniversary?  A kids free night (and overnight!), dinner and just some good old relaxing in the quiet of our own home.  Yep...it's the simple things that can make for a good evening especially when you have a 4 and 2 year old and just sitting on the couch in a quiet house rarely ever happens.

I dug out a wedding photo so here we are 7 years ago.  I'm thinking we are still looking pretty good 7 years later!

Enjoying the last few weeks of Summer

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over.  And it's even harder to believe that baby Dugas will be here in exactly 4 weeks.  We are spending our last few weekends enjoying the Cape and spending lots of time at the beach.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.

The boys love spending time with cousin Jakob.  They are inseparable whenever they are together.

Family friends were spending the week down at the Cape with all the grandchildren.  The kids all had a blast playing together on the beach.
